In a Council-Manager form of government, the Town Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Town. The Town’s Department Heads report directly to the Town Manager, who is responsible for implementing policies set forth by the Board of Aldermen. The Manager is also responsible for the development and administration of the Town’s Annual Budget. The Annual Budget, adopted by the Board of Aldermen provides funding, staffing, and general guidance to the Town departments for the fiscal year.
The Town Clerk maintains complete and accurate records of the Board of Aldermen proceedings and is the official custodian of Town files. The Clerk prepares and distributes Agenda material and minutes of each meeting. These items are available for public view in the Clerk’s office during regular business hours.
