The Madison Fire Department is led by a part-time paid Fire Chief that is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Fire Department members. This consists of a part time paid staff that work 8-5 Monday-Friday and 20 volunteers. The Department operates out of a single station equipped with three engines, one ladder platform, brush truck, two support units and a Fire Chief vehicle. The Madison Fire Department has a mutual aid agreement with all surrounding Departments.
The firefighters proudly serve the citizens of Madison and in conjunction with the Mayodan Fire Department, serve the citizens of the Madison-Mayodan (M&M) Fire District.
