Dillard Elementary School is designated as a Title I school that serves students in grades pre-K through five. Title I is a federally funded learning support program that provides additional funds that are used to meet the needs of all students at our school. Dillard provides an Accelerated Reader program that challenges and motivates students as they increase their reading levels. New Vision School for Science, Math and Technology became Rockingham County’s first and only magnet school in 2003 and is the only school in the county that follows a year round calendar. The academic focus is technology, science and mathematics. Teaching and learning is geared towards how students will apply mathematics or scientific concepts to solve problems in each content area. They use 21st century technology to access and present information in Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science and Cultural Arts.

Western Rockingham Middle School
Rockingham Middle School (WRMS) offers numerous enrichment classes including Band, Bible History, Chorus, Business and Marketing, Business Computer Technology, Drama, General Music, Keyboarding, Life Skills, Spanish, Technology Exploration, and Art. Students attend four core classes each day and two exploratory classes. Students have access to technology through networked computers in classrooms, the media center, and four computer labs. WRMS believes that every kid counts, every day counts, character creates community, success is contagious and together we achieve.

McMichael High School
L. McMichael High School opened in August of 1991 to serve students from the former Madison-Mayodan High School and Stoneville High School. The school was named to honor Mr. McMichael, a local industrial leader whose interest and support for public education was instrumental in the planning and construction of the school. McMichael High School is a student-centered school that meets academic, emotional, and social needs of all learners and prepares them to be productive citizens that enter college or the workforce with 21st Century skills.
