The Town of Madison offers an array of business, industry and institutional facilities ranging from locally owned to corporate entities.  Even though, the Town has suffered during the times of economic instability, we have managed to maintain and support our deep rooted businesses and large manufacturing facilities.

A stroll through the downtown shopping district offers numerous restaurants, craft shops, florists and other unique businesses.  If you're looking to appease your appetite, you can enjoy anything from home-cooked meals to the Italian pizzeria to the bakery offering homemade cupcakes, cookies, brownies and all sweets in between.  Our storefronts are pleasing to the eye, enticing customers to browse through clothing, antiques, furniture, flower arrangements and unique items that you will only find in Madison.

Located outside the downtown shopping district are three additional shopping centers and numerous restaurants, service centers and medical facilities. Within this shopping area are businesses large and small from department stores to specialty shops and furniture stores. This area also offers a variety of restaurants including Fast Food, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Pizza and Seafood.  Scattered throughout Madison are numerous medical facilities ranging from general medicine, to rehabilitation services, to vision, to dentistry and even a facility to keep your pets healthy.  You will also find a host of banking services, convenience and tire centers,  service centers, hair and nail salons and other businesses to satisfy any need.

The Town's industrial areas are mostly located toward the outer boundaries of the corporate limits. Within these areas, you will find the largest employers in the Town including Unifi, Pine Hall Brick, SealMaster, Chandler Concrete and Southern Steel and Wire.  There are also numerous recycling facilities, tractor and farm supply, steel and wire, corporate offices and warehousing facilities.
