Within 30 miles of Greensboro and of Winston-Salem, NC and Martinsville, and Danville, VA, Madison offers an excellent central location. Madison is 6.6 square miles in land area, and has a population of 2,540 citizens. The area is blessed with a moderate climate and located in Rockingham County, part of the rapidly expanding northern piedmont. Madison is easily accessible to major markets, and urban amenities while providing a small town environment with a wide variety of recreational, educational, medical, and cultural resources. U.S. 220 (designated as future interstate 73) passes through Madison providing easy access to one of the major north-south transportation arteries on the east coast and to Piedmont Triad International Airport.
